I have been teaching for 23 years. I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development from Lee University, a master's degree in Multilingual/Multicultural Education from George Mason University, and an Education Specialist degree in Language and Literacy Education from the University of Georgia. I began teaching in a public elementary school in Tennessee, and since then have experienced teaching in a variety of educational settings. I taught at a private school in Atlanta, Georgia, where I worked with third graders. I taught ESL for grade K-8 in an International School in Tirana Albania. From there, I moved to South Korea where I taught at Korea International School, Jeju Campus. I served as curriculum coordinator for KIS Prep, a program for English Language Learners, as well as Literacy Coordinator for the school. Upon leaving Korea, I moved to London, England where I taught English as a Additional Language at ACS Egham International School. I currently teach ESL at a school in Nashville, where I also serve as the ESL Curriculum Lead. I love reading, so teaching literacy allows me to encourage students to love reading as much as I do.
